About this experience
Thursdays, Dec, 2, 9 & 16, 12-2 PM. (6 hrs total)
Join Lesley for this multi-week exploration of bag making! Over three classes, you will work on three bags from the Everyday Essentials collection by Noodlehead: the Wool + Wax Tote, Petal Pouch, and the Minimalist Wallet pattern. This pattern is included in the class at 20% off for participants!
We are running this as multiple shorter classes, to efficiently get you the skills you need to launch your bag making journey. There will be homework in this class, so make sure you have time to work between classes in order to get the most out of the session. This is best suited for folks who are comfortable sewing a straight line on their own, and have sewn from a pattern.
For the first class, you must have your fabric chosen, and the non-rectangular pieces (which are printed in the book), already cut out from your fabric and interfacing. In the first session, Lesley will explain all the rectangular cutting and interfacing, which will need to be completed before the second class. In the next session, you will work on some zippers, and begin construction, and each class will get you a little closer to finished! Some people may finish all three bags in the course, and some may have a bit more homework or finish after the course- but don’t forget that if you don’t have a great sewing spot at home, you have free drop in over the course of your multi-week workshop!
We ask students to wear masks for the duration of class. Please take fresh air breaks as necessary. In kids’ classes, kids may remove masks as long as they are in their own station.
