Spring Break Camp!

Monday March 30-Thursday April 2

10:30am-1pm (Please pack a lunch- nothing too sticky or messy!)

Projects: Drawstring Bag, Customizable Stuffies, Clothes (Choose between Tshirt, Hoodie, Shorts, Simple Pants, Skirt or Cape!)

Ages: 7-12

Experience: None needed!

Fee: $50 +GST non-refundable deposit today, $189 remainder owing payable via etransfer to info@thespoolsewingstudio.com (paying via etransfer keeps credit card fees lower so I don't have to increase my prices and we aren't send all our money to credit card companies!)

In this camp, students will be guided by Francesca, The Spool's classroom assistant, with Nicole present and supporting!

Students will learn and build confidence using a sewing machine, and will all make a Project Bag to keep their projects in (they will keep it at the end), followed by a customizable stuffy (make it as cute or weird as you like) and a garment. Student do all learn at difference paces and have different styles, so we focus more on deep understanding and creativity that project completion (some kids may want to make several stuffies and skip the clothes, etc). Some kids may be less interested in stuffies and just make a super simple one (to develop the necessary skills to move on)

Kids with some experience will work directly with Nicole to choose an appropriate challenge to work on for the class to build their skills and make something cool!

As this is a 2.5hr/day class, I ask that you consider if your child will enjoy this fairly focused, stationary camp- some kids just want to move and jump and play and expecting them to sit still on spring break isn't fair!
