Your Host
Janice has been quilting for over 25 years and is a member of the Comox Valley Schoolhouse Quilters’ Guild. She loves sharing and continuing the tradition of quilting passed down from her great-grandmother and many family members through hand quilting or at the machine.
With teaching experience in outdoor recreation settings, Janice brings a patient, encouraging, and hands-on approach to learning. When she’s not quilting, she’s usually reading, spending time outdoors, adventuring with her dog, or growing her garment-sewing skills. Janice is a volunteer quilter with Quilts for Survivors, which gives handmade quilts to survivors of the Residential School System as symbols of support, respect and love.
