About this experience

Want to learn to sew but not sure where to start? Building a skill is like building a house, so let's start with a good foundation! In this 6 hour workshop over two days, you will gain confidence in running a sewing machine, sewing zippers (you can do it!), making napkins, pillowcases and pouches in a fun, non-judgemental environment. You will learn a variety of seams, stitches and finishing techniques to get your sewing journey started off right.
Kit included in fee: fabric for napkins, practice fabric, interfacing for zippered pouch. Materials to buy (AFTER first class): 1m main fabric for pillowcase, 1/2m for pillowcase cuff. Thread, 7”nylon zipper. (not necessary for the first class, so if you are intimidated about buying it, you can wait!)
We ask students to wear masks for the duration of class. Please take fresh air breaks as necessary. In kids’ classes, kids 12 and older may remove masks as long as they are in their own station.
