Foundations: Learn to Sew

Foundations: Learn to Sew

Level: Beginner

July 9th-11th 5:30-8PM

Our Summer Edition of Foundations will give you all the same skills as our regular Foundations class, but condensed into a shorter, mid-week session that will be easy to plan around your camping trips, work schedule, summer BBQs and all that fun!

Want to learn to sew but not sure where to start? Building a skill is like building a house, so let's start with a good foundation! In this four week class you will gain confidence in running a sewing machine, sewing zippers (you can do it!), making rope bowls, pillowcases and pouches in a fun, non-judgemental environment.

Kit included in fee: Rope for rope bowls, practice fabric, interfacing for zippered pouch. Workshop pack with instructions, a skill checklist and some Spool SWAG are also included!

Materials to buy: 1m main fabric for pillowcase, 1/2m for pillowcase cuff. Thread, 7”nylon zipper. (not necessary for the first class, so if you are intimidated about buying it, you can wait!)
