The modern quilt world is vast and full of skills, we can keep learning forever- what a privilege!
This one-day class will add some impressive skills to your toolbox, to allow you to express yourself through fabric and thread.
Materials included, and machines will be set up!
In this class you will learn to sew different types of curves confidently. You will leave with a handout to remind you of the steps we take, and a sample which can be finished as a wall hanging or table runner, or continue building something wild when you get home!
Every student will be making the same design, but you will feel confident in using the skills to make your own designs afterwards.
This is not applique, you will achieve these curves through piecing, which frankly boggles my mind!

Please note you will not be quilting the layers together, as that is a different set of skills!
Your Host
Marni is a maker of original, contemporary quilts. These works are known for
their unusual color combinations and use of curves. She has exhibited locally as
well as internationally in the shows Quilt National ’23 and Circular Abstractions.
She lives and works on Quadra Island.
