Material suggestions:

  • Main fabric:
Cotton poplin, light twill, batiste or double gauze, thin denim or chambray, thin twill, linen or viscose. Thin fabrics are more suitable for gathers. 
Lining option:
Poplin or batiste in cotton or polyester for the dress lining. The lining is necessary if your main fabric is a little transparent for any season or too thin for a fall winter season. No need for lining with the blouse.
